Who I Help...

Anxiety and Depression

Anxiety often makes you feel like you're constantly worrying, overwhelmed, and unable to chill out or stay in the moment. It's like your mind's on overdrive, stuck in circles or always on alert. Depression may also weigh you down, making it hard to find joy or motivation. Therapy can teach you how to handle those anxious and depressive moments so you can feel more in charge, rather than letting anxiety and depression run the show.

Trauma-Informed Therapy

Experiencing trauma, betrayal, guilt, shame, and low self-esteem can have a significant impact on daily life, leading to stress, depression, and feelings of being unsafe. These emotions may easily trigger you, prompting questions about why you feel this way. Trauma-focused therapy offers a path to navigate these complex feelings, providing support and tools to help you regain control over emotions and live a more fulfilling life.

Grief and Loss

Grief and loss can be utterly exhausting and overwhelming, feeling like it's too much to handle. You may feel isolated and alone in your pain. Grief shows up in more than just the death of a loved one—it can stem from various losses like the end of a relationship, the loss of a job, or even major life transitions. Grief therapy offers a supportive space to process these intense emotions, find hope for the future, and connect with others who understand your journey.

I help people who struggle with mood disorders, anxiety, and trauma stop the unrelenting cycle of guilt, shame, risky behaviors, and the unpredictable emotional roller coaster.

My clients struggle like you do. Despite being compassionate, intelligent, and accomplished high achievers— life is hard.

When they first come to therapy, they are unhappy with what they see when they look in the mirror or when they describe themselves through a partner’s perspective and words. When they look at themselves, they feel ashamed, hopeless, and frustrated. They feel like if they could only work a little harder or just catch a break, they would be able to keep going and reach their goals. They know life won’t be perfect… but it feels like it shouldn’t be this damn difficult.

Feeling like they aren’t good enough or could do better is a common experience. Even when they receive praise and respect from others, fear looms that a single error could topple them from the podium. Their self-critique is unforgiving, especially when they make even the smallest mistake.

Initially, my clients tie their self-worth to external factors—current or past relationships, professional success, others' positive regard, test scores, or performance evaluations. They don't necessarily boast about their achievements, but they do crave acknowledgment and they do attempt to do the right thing, perhaps more than anything.

The pressure to excel in various roles becomes overwhelming as they strive to be an exceptional friend, partner, child, parent, worker, or student all at once. Holding it all together is impossible. They know this but it doesn’t stop them from trying or from turning to substances, alcohol, gambling, or other excesses to cope with the pressure and anxiety.

I understand their pain thoroughly and offer a way out. You, too, deserve to navigate life without guilt, to experience peace in your mind and body, and to embrace a constant sense of being "good enough." If you seek comfort in your own skin, I'm here to guide you on that journey.

Schedule an appointment today; you don't have to endure the suffering alone. I'm here to help you find your way.
